Golf Swing Explainer
Why
I’ve been using a physical therapy tracker I made for myself with anatomical models explaining where to feel the movements and sets/reps tracking, and I realized the same concept could be applied to golf swing visualization.
I’m using this to help my family better understand the positions to go through when hitting different golf shots.
What I learned
Neither Astra nor Opus can model a golf club. This is shocking, since a golf club is a grip (trivial), a shaft (identical between clubs here other than length), a ferrule (the same in all clubs), and the actual clubhead itself. Both Astra and Opus could not produce a reasonable golf club 3d model without extensive, broken down prompting. In the end, I had to find existing assets for the clubheads. Even with image references of all sides, both Astra and Opus failed to get anywhere close to an approximation of reality.
